I absolutely love, love, loved this wedding at the Milestone in Denton. Adrian and Leslie were both sweethearts and every single one of their bridesmaids and groomsmen were wonderful to us. I always know if I’m in for a exceptional wedding day when the whole wedding party is helpful, cooperative and in a great mood for the couple. I even loved Leslie’s sweet grandmother and aunt, who watched me set up photos of the wedding bands and shared some sweet compliments about Leslie’s bridal portraits.
I’m a sucker for generational portraits at weddings. Leslie’s three nieces are her twin sister’s daughters and the their bond was so heartwarming, I had to rein it in to keep from saying “awwww” all day. :D
I love this shot my second shooter took of the hilarious scene behind the camera as I took photos of Leslie with her flower girls. Team work!
The entrance at the Milestone is so gorgeous for indoor portraits, don’t you think?
Adrian and Leslie were both already aunts and uncles before they got married. Isn’t this family photo of the groom’s side of the family adorable? I love a big family.
It rained this day, and we had little natural light left by the time the ceremony was over so we were limited on bride and groom portrait locations. Fortunately, the back porch was the perfect spot for the two of them to take in a few moments away from the crowd for their first photos as husband and wife. I love the clean white space with the pop of green behind them. Even the lanterns hanging above perfectly matched their outfits. I love this whole set and am reminded that simplicity is best.
OK! I’m a very picky eater, even when it comes to sweets. I’m not a fan of fruit fillings or any flavor other than plain white cake or chocolate, really. So I almost never eat cake at weddings, or birthday parties, or any occasion. BUT. My second shooter said one of the layers (at least) was plain wedding cake. So as things winded down, I took a leftover piece, and O.M.G. It’s the best cake I’ve ever had. I’m going to have to make my way over to Tart Bakery one of these days to get my fix. Because I won’t lie, I thought about that cake almost the whole way home. Hahahaha.
Dancing with your new spouse as all your nieces and nephews dance in a circle around you = adorable.
