Over the last week I’ve shared my top picks for Dallas wedding venues for natural light lovers. To see my ballroom list, click here. Or, to see my favorite grand and elegant venues, click here. To round out my final installment, I’m highlighting a couple of industrial, loft and warehouse style venues for those who want their wedding venue filled with natural light.
Hickory Street Annex
Hickory Street Annex is located just off of Downtown Dallas, perfect for a reception with city vibes. There’s a large lounge room downstairs that can be used as a getting ready suite, and there is SO MUCH LIGHT upstairs during the day. Perfect! I was really excited to find out that they have a separate small building with partially white-washed exposed brick and dreamy lighting. And, on one side of the building is a wall of ivy that’s so picturesque! The lounge room downstairs doubles as a cocktail hour space to keep the upstairs clear before it’s time for guests to be seated. And bonus, you can make your grand entrance through the elevator in the middle of the upstairs loft. Once the sun goes down and the skyline lights up, you have gorgeous city views through the windows in the loft. I really loved shooting there and hope to be back soon.
Sixty Five Hundred is so versatile. It’s massive, so if you’ve got a big guest list, that’s perfect. Or, if you don’t need the whole space, they can section it off with draping and no one will even know there’s more room back there. It’s a warehouse style venue with concrete floors that looks great with color wash lighting at night and shines with natural light during the day. White walls and windows are the goal for all my favorite venues and this one’s got them too. It’s located minutes from Love Field Airport so if you have out of town guests, it’s a convenient location with minimal travel. They do also offer valet parking, so if impressing and catering to your guests from the start is your goal, this is a great option.
- Monroe Pearson – I’m excited to photograph a wedding at Monroe Pearson this March. It’s a new industrial style venue in the heart of Denton.
- Brake and Clutch – Have you seen photos of that beautiful and colorful elephant mural on white brick? This is the place! Such a cute and historic warehouse venue in Deep Ellum.
