I started photographing portraits and weddings as a sophomore in college and shortly after earning my bachelor's in photojournalism, I quit my day job in pursuit of my dream.
For several years, my specialty in weddings took me across Texas, the U.S., Mexico and Europe. I was thrilled and fulfilled. And then I became a mother.
Although I had always photographed growing families as well, matrescence shifted my interests.

I'm now impassioned just as much (if not more so) by family photography as I am by weddings. I understand maternity, postpartum, the baby phase, toddler life, motherhood in a way I just didn't before. I'm different now, so I photograph it with more reverence.

My husband and I have been married 10 years and we're currently in the wonderful throes of the toddler and preschool years. Two rescue dogs too. I'm inspired most by them, when I'm exploring a new part of the world, and when I'm among flowers.
For better or worse, I'm a sentimental romantic and it affects all parts of my life and work.
