I am so excited to share this wedding photo preview! Carina and Gabriel came to me via Carina’s sister and husband, Noemi and Valente. I photographed their wedding in 2015 and loved following along on their adventures! Their family grew this year and I got to photograph them again with their adorable little boy. When Noemi’s sister Carina got engaged, I was so excited about the idea of celebrating with this family again. Noemi put us in touch and the rest is history.

Carina and Gabriel shared with me that they were getting married at The Olana. I knew exactly what they were talking about because The Olana has been the talk of the Dallas wedding industry as one of its newest and anticipated venues. The new wedding venue is actually an ornate French chateau-style mansion. At 50,000 square feet, it’s one of the largest homes in Texas. The groom’s suite is the best I’ve ever seen. Complete with a pool table and bowling alley, I can only imagine how much fun groomsmen have hanging out in the huge space. And the bridal suite? The size of modest homes. It consists of a large naturally-lit sitting room, a marble-floored en-suite and large walk-in closet designed as a Chanel room. There are multiple parlors, a grand staircase and a spiral one, there’s really too many spaces to name.

With the wedding taking place in a baroque style mansion, how could the bride and groom not make their event a formal affair? Carina looked outright REGAL and I feel like she and her maids look like a promo for a sexy historical drama. Amiriteeeee!!!

I always love a tux on a groom. Gabriel looked so handsome!

They had such a special first look! They exchanged letters before turning around to see each other. You can certainly tell Gabriel considers himself to be a lucky man. His reaction at their first look AND while she walked down the aisle are some of the sweetest I’ve ever witnessed. Men being vulnerable and showing emotion = all the heart eyes.

I mean that tear running down his face?!? So sweet.

Their ceremony was fun and heartfelt. I heard guests afterward talking about how beautiful the ceremony was and I completely agree. It was positive, uplifting and especially tailored to include blurbs from the bride and groom.

Who cries this pretty? Queen Carina, that’s who.

They had a mariachi perform during dinner, and then spent the rest of the night on the dance floor. Carina’s brother in law Valente is a DJ and owns his own entertainment company, Vida Weddings + Events so he hooked it up by having one of his colleagues fill in on the DJ table.

Just married.
