White Rock Lake Hilltop Proposal

The light on this day couldn’t have been more perfect. Looking back at the gallery, I’m reminded of how scorching hot it was for October and how the red sun seared into the last of our sunset photos, but that same clear-sky sunset gave us a gorgeous backdrop to work with, making these some of my favorite proposal and engagement photos of last year.

I “stealthily” hung out behind some plants as the couple made their way from the parking lot to take a look at the hilltop views of White Rock Lake and the Dallas skyline. Eventually, Ryan convinced his then-girlfriend to take a walk over to the spot we prepared for the proposal, and the rest is history!

Some of their friends were hiding at a nearby spot and came running out with gleeful smiles.

Then, we were off to take some engagement photos. White Rock Lake has been at the top of my favorite locations list for years. It just photographs so well.
