Dallas Arboretum Proposal

I’ve come to realize that an engagement session immediately following a marriage proposal is my favorite. Emotions are high, and everyone’s excited and happy. It makes for some really joyous and sweet photos!

Nick knew he wanted to propose to Mal while they were visiting Dallas, so he reached out to me a few months in advance. He said that Mal loved traveling, flowers and gardens and thought The Dallas Arboretum would be the perfect location. I’m also a garden girl, so naturally I’m a member there and always jump at the chance to go visit the pretty blooms.

Their proposal was very sweet and Mal was definitely caught by surprise. My favorite part was when we first started taking engagement photos and she said to Nick, “I can’t even look at you without my eyes watering again!” *Insert heart eye emoji here.* I live for moments like that. Moments when you’re so overwhelmed with love, joy and gratitude that your heart can’t take it and you’re moved to tears.

After the proposal, we wandered around the gardens to take some engagement photos. The Arboretum is just gorgeous in April and it was such a peaceful morning. It was definitely a beautiful start to my day, surely there’s as well.
