Highland Park Maternity Session

Emilija found me through a past client, Cristie, whose maternity, lifestyle newborn session and even wedding and engagement sessions I’ve photographed throughout the years. Emilija referred me out to her friend Anne, whose maternity and lifestyle newborn sessions I’ve also photographed now. I love seeing working with all of these connected people!

I met Emilija for the first time in person at her maternity session in Highland Park and what a complete joy she was! She and her husband Brett were so nice and easygoing. I could tell we were off to a great start. The forecast predicted a full week of rain with the exception of this day, which was supposed to be cloudy. We were just thankful it wasn’t raining when we pulled up to our session and saw a sky full of clouds. Ten minutes later though, those clouds cleared and we got perfect golden hour sunshine! It was gorgeous for a springtime maternity session in Dallas. You’d never guess it was mid-February by looking at the images. Emilija and Brett said they were nervous about the session but they shouldn’t have been!  I always give my clients a quick pep talk before we get started and they really followed through. They were open and allowed themselves to laugh and have fun. I got genuine laughter and joy out of them and I call that a win. It was such a great day! Here are some of my absolute favorites, which took me forever to narrow down!
