Spring Wedding at The Castle at Rockwall

As a wedding and family photographer, there are moments when your personal and professional worlds beautifully collide. Recently, I had the immense joy of capturing the wedding of a friend from elementary and middle school. The setting for this fairytale celebration? The Castle at Rockwall. It was honestly surreal seeing him all grown up and realizing the nearly two decades that have passed since we were regular parts of each other’s day to day.

His bride was fantastic. Stunning, charismatic and charming in every way, it’s easy to see how smitten Scott is with her. In her stunning gown, Fiona was a vision of elegance against the backdrop of the castle’s regal façade. The Castle at Rockwall, with its turrets and elegant architecture, provided the perfect backdrop for Scott and Fiona’s fairytale wedding. The early spring weather graced us with sunshine and a chilly breeze, creating an atmosphere of romance as the castle grounds came alive with the promise of lifelong love.

As I navigated through capturing the ceremony and reception, there were moments of nostalgia that added a special touch to the photographs. Childhood friends, now grown and gathered to celebrate, shared laughter, tears, and joy as they toasted to the couple’s happily ever after.

Photographing a March wedding at the Castle at Rockwall for a client I went to elementary school with was not just another assignment; it was a journey through time, friendship, and the celebration of love. To see someone I knew in childhood stepping into a new chapter of life is a testament to the enduring connections we make along the way. Cheers to the newlyweds and the lifelong fairytale they’ve begun. I was honored to be entrusted to capture it!
