A maternity session blog post is way overdue! I checked, and it’s been two years since I’ve added one! When I get a maternity or newborn inquiry, I share my package and session options and a lot of couples go for my maternity mini option, which is a more condensed session with more limited location/scheduling options. So I was extra excited when Lauren and Jake chose my full maternity session and lifestyle newborn session package, because it meant we could get creative with location ideas.

At the time, this couple was new to the Dallas area, so showing them some of my favorite Dallas locations for photo sessions actually helped them get to know the area better. I love these two spaces in the Park Cities because they’re picturesque at any time of year and the grounds are always well maintained.

We photographed this on an early summer evening in anticipation of their first baby, and I joined them in August to welcome him home for lifestyle newborn photos.
