Last November, Wes reached out to me to photograph his proposal to his girlfriend, Jenny. At that point, he hadn’t decided on a location, but he knew he wanted it to be special. We started brainstorming and he ended up reserving a private section of the Geo-Deck at Reunion Tower. When the day came, I took the elevator 470 feet up to the deck and we waited for Jenny to arrive.
Wes had Jenny think that he was out of town on business, and had their friends invite Jenny out to dinner at Reunion Tower. His surprise worked, and she was shocked to see him waiting for her on the Geo-Deck.
Their friends were busted for being in on the plan. I love how completely surprised she was.
He took her by the hand and went down on one knee to propose marriage to her, 470 feet in the air overlooking the city below.
Needless to say, she was elated. After hugs all around, we took a few engagement photos in front of the Dallas skyline. After portraits, the group celebrated together at dinner and Wes sweetened the deal by surprising Jenny with a night’s stay at the Hyatt, the Reunion Tower hotel. What a sweet weekend! Working with Wes throughout the planning, I could just tell how important it was for him to give Jenny a beautiful experience. That kind of thoughtfulness makes me love what I do. It was a sweet day to be a part of.
Congratulations, Wes and Jenny!
