It’s been exactly one month since Kelly and Adam’s wedding at Milagro Farms in Forreston, Texas. When you pull up to the farm property, you see rustic barn wood buildings surrounded by palm trees, succulents and other desert plants. If you let yourself soak it in, the atmosphere will make you feel separate from the everyday and transported into somewhere unique and calming.
On November 12th, the sun was shining and the temperature was a perfect 70 something. I was excited to see that Kelly and Adam incorporated the venue’s Santa Fe vibes into their invitation suite and decor. This couple is super talented in art and graphic design and even handcrafted their wood and acrylic cake stands. The groom made their beautiful wood wedding bands too.
I loved Kelly’s delicate and feminine jewelry from Anthropologie and Adam’s suit and tie. The colors they used were so nice for a fall outdoor wedding. Aesthetics aside, the highlight of this wedding for me as a photographer was the emotion. When Kelly began to approach Adam, she stopped for a second and you can see her take a breath to calm herself. Once he turned around though, she couldn’t fight back the tears anymore! They were all smiles and laughter during their ceremony too. They were two of the most laid back people to work with and that’s the dream! Big thanks to my friend Emily Chappell who second shot this wedding with me. It’s so wonderful to have a talented and fun partner to tackle a wedding day with!
