When we were 13, Susan and I both played violin in our middle school orchestra. I remember she was smart, pretty and fun to be around, and she and a handful of other girls made 5th period my favorite class of the day. It seems like such a long time ago, but I do remember bits of the field trips and performances, and definitely all of the giggling during class, when we weren’t busy being stellar performers. (I have to mention that I mostly remember all of this because I was the class historian – AKA the class photographer. Should’ve known back then. ;)) Those two years were a blast. We all pretty much went to different high schools and I’m sure we all quit playing the violin, but here we are, more than a decade later, and I get an email from Susan. She’s getting married next year at a gorgeous venue and now I get to be her wedding photographer!
I’m loving getting to know Susan and Matt. They’re definitely fun and are so in love. It was Matt’s idea to start out our session at the Truck Yard in Dallas. I loved it! The first time I visited, the thought actually came to mind that it would be an interesting place to photograph. It’s so eclectic! So, I was psyched when they brought it up. He and Susan also found our dock location at White Rock Lake, and it was beautiful.
Susan and Matt showed up so prepared for their session. Matt had two spiffy outfits and Susan got glammed up with makeup and a blow out before the session. <– Best idea ever! Why didn’t I do that??? They were nervous at first but quickly let loose and were their adorable selves. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for their wedding next spring.
I hope you guys enjoy this sneak peek!
