On Friday evening I had the honor of photographing the wedding of high school sweethearts. Denisse and Jared and I share an alma mater and as a romantic, I was happy to see their Facebook relationship status upgrade from “in a relationship” to “engaged” last year. Lucky for me, they let me photograph their engagement portraits and then asked me to photograph their wedding! One look at the couple and you’ll see one reason why I was so excited. They’re gorgeous! Denisse is beautiful and so charming and Jared is handsome and sweet. It’s endearing to see them fit together so well, and it was heartwarming to see the masses of people who so obviously adore them. Not everyone is lucky enough to find love so young and to continue nurturing it throughout young adulthood. Jared and Denisse are the prince and princess at the end of your favorite love story and I was so charmed to be a part of their wedding day.

To the newest mr. and mrs. I know, I hope that decades from now, you look at your wedding album and the photographs take you back to the way you felt on your wedding day. I also hope that on that day, you feel the same joy that you did on March 8, 2013 and that your love has grown each day since.
